What you need to enter BelarusTo enter Belarus, you need a passport and a visa. You may get a visa in our Embassy or Consulate in your country. To learn if there is a Belarusian diplomatic mission in your country
If there is none, you may get a visa at the Minsk National Airport as you proceed to passport checking.
1. Getting a visa at the EmbassyTo get a visa, you need to submit a valid passport, a photo, an application form, other supporting documents depending on the nature of your visit, and to pay a visa fee.
Other supporting documents: For tourism (up to 30 days, short-term single or double entry), a written request by a belarusian tourist company, or a written request by a rest house or rehabilitation centre, or a written invitation by a national of Belarus and supporting documents that confirm her/his ownership of an agrotourist homestead in Belarus. For a short-term private visit (up to 90 days, single, double or multiple entries), an original invitation issued by a local citizenship and migration office of the Ministry of Interior of Belarus where a person you are going to visit is living. For a commercial visit (up to 90 days) a written request by a Belarusian company. Please note that requests by local offices of international companies or banks in Belarus, as well as private entrepreneurs will be invalid as, according to Belarusian regulations, they do not have a status of a legal entity in Belarus. For a long-term visit (commercial visit without intention to work, up to 90 days within a year), a written request by a Belarusian company on the official letterhead signed by a company executive and sealed by a corporate seal, proof of registration of a Belarusian company (extract from the state Register of Legal Entities and Private Entrepreneurs of Belarus issued by the Ministry of Justice of Belarus), copy of contract between Belarusian company and you or company where you work, and a document certifying what you are employed by that company. For transit (up to 48 hours), a visa of the country of main destination. If a trip to that country does not require a visa, you should submit any other supporting documents proving that you need to transit through Belarus. For studies, an original invitation by the educational institution where you are going to study verified by a local citizenship and migration office of the Ministry of Interior of Belarus. The processing time for visa application does not usually exceed 5 business days. Visa application may be processed withing 2 business days for an extra fee. Important: Upon arrival to Belarus, you need to register at the local citizenship and migration office of the Ministry of Interior of Belarus within 5 business days. If your visa to Belarus is up to 90 days but you intend to stay longer, you need to extend the validity of your visa through a local citizenship and migration office of the Ministry of interior of Belarus. Russian visa is not valid to enter Belarus. 2. Getting a visa at the Minsk National AirportBelarusian visas at the Minsk National Airport are issued to the nationals of the countries with no consular offices of the Republic of Belarus.
To the nationals of other countries visa may be issued upon arrival on an exceptional basis only:
1) Duly completed visa application form (specifying the name and address of the inviting person/university/organization in Belarus) with one recent passport-sized photo fixed to the marked place at the upper right-hand corner of the application form. The form must be filled in completely, no blank spaces should be left. If a question does not apply, please type "N/A". If the answer is none, write "none". Incomplete forms will be returned to the applicants unprossesed. The form should bear the original signature of applicant and must be legible. Please, fill in the form in block letters.
2) Original Passport with two blank pages at least. The document shall be valid as long as at least 90 days after the requested visa expires. 3) Visa support documents (details are given above). 4) Additional documents, necessary to consider visa application (upon request of the Consul). 5) Receipt of payment: visa fee depends on the type of visa requested, visa support documents (if required) period of visa requested and the nationality of applicant. Transit visaTransit visa (type B, period of validity 48 hours) may be issued upon the presentation of a valid Russian or Ukrainian visa or other documents proving the need to cross the Belarusian borders on the way to a country of final destination (ticket, itinerary, etc)
Short-term visa (type C)Period of visa 90 days maximum. Visa support documents for business purposes (without work permit) - original formalized letter of support from the Belarusian university/organization/firm. For private purposes original formalized letter of invitation, issued by a local citizenship and Migration Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
Tourist visaUp to 30 days of stay - formalized letter of support, received from a Belarusian tourist company, confirming the booking of the tourist services in Belarus. Short-term visa for tourism could be issued also upon the presentation of a letter of support from a citizen of the Republic of Belarus and documents proving his/her right to render agro ecotourism services in Belarus.
